Benefits of securing an IEC spot through an IRCC Recognized Organization AGE

Benefits of IEC participations with a Recognized Organizations (RO): Age

RO Participation is permitted up to the age of 35 for all IEC eligible nations.

A-Way to Work / International Rural Exchange Canada (one of 8 the IRCC Recognized Organizations) permits Working Holiday and Young Professionals participations for individuals aged 18 to 35, even for citizens of these 7 IEC countries:

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Iceland, Japan, Netherlands, and Sweden.

The 7 IEC countries have bilateral agreements also known as youth mobility agreements (YMA) with age restrictions that limit participation to 30 years old, but securing a spot with IREC can help 31-35 year olds from those 7 nations participate in both the Working Holiday and the Young Professionals programs.

During the 2024 RO IEC season, I helped a 35 year old Japanese citizen participate in their first RO Working Holiday participation.
