Benefits of IEC participations with a Recognized Organizations (RO): Access to both WH and YP

A-Way to Work / International Rural Exchange Canada (one of the 8 IRCC Recognized Organizations) offers access to both Working Holiday and Young Professional WPs, even if a foreign national would not have such access via the regular process.

International Rural Exchange Canada (IREC) can help applicants from the following 8 nations with RO IEC YP program who would not usually be able to apply for an IEC YP work permit through the regular IEC program:

Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Hong Kong, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, and San Marino

International Rural Exchange Canada (IREC) can also help applicants from Switzerland apply for the Working Holiday program. Swiss citizens would not usually be able to apply for an IEC Working Holiday work permit through the regular IEC program

IEC eligible nationals who are eligible for both the regular IEC WH and YP program are also welcome to participate in their RO IEC program of choice. IREC can help participants from the following 28 nations:

Australia, Austria, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, and United Kingdom

For example an Australian citizen can follow up an RO IEC Working Holiday participation with an RO IEC Young Professionals participation.

During the 2023 RO IEC season I was able to help Japanese citizens to participate in their first Young Professionals participation.
